The IFLC offers special two-session and four-session courses through several San Diego adult education facilities. Here our students come face-to-face with the philosophies, techniques and theories of being a true In Focus photographer. If you are member of one of these courses and want to participate in this extra resource, simply request authorship by clicking on the link below. Let us know which adult education facility you are currently enrolled in. Once verified we'll send you an invitation to become a full member of this web site. Simply follow the instructions from Google and you're ready. You'll soon be able to post images and gain full-access to your instructors.

For our Point-n-Shoot Photographers

Many of our students came to class with point-n-shoots ... and this thrills me to no end.  As I said, a camera is but a box with a hole in it, it's the artist that makes it work. So to these people I applaud your tenacity and commitment.

If you have a point-n-shoot digital such as your fellow classmates, please don't think that it's useless now that you've got an SLR.

Check out this PDF of a recent trip our family took where we only used  point-n-shoots. I think you'll 'get' what I mean.

And, if you're interested, the below two videos were also made with the same point-n-shoots. One of them shows how to perform what we like to call the  'mirror trick' with a point-n-shoot. I hope you enjoy them.
